The Northern New Mexico Business Expo was formed out of a collaboration of eight regional chambers of commerce and economic development organizations which have partnered to address their client needs. The focus for the Expo is to assist large New Mexico firms doing business in the state who are eager to engage the small business community that they may not currently have access to. The event will also serve to introduce the Supplier University, a program targeted at assisting small businesses in identifying and obtaining the competencies necessary to become preferred suppliers to key industries and large procurement sources in the area. The efforts behind this program include engaging New Mexico industry in identifying the qualities, capabilities and standards they look for in establishing their supplier base.
