Northern New Mexico Business Expo - October 22 & 23, 2008

I would like to invite all veteran owned businesses to participate in the Northern New Mexico Business Expo to be held on October 22nd and 23rd,
 
At the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services we are well into a new phase of our service to veterans in business.  Secretary Garcia  hired a veteran business development coordinator who will coordinate all in-house initiatives and work closely with our veterans and partners at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and New Mexico Small Business Development Centers (SBDC's).
 
Outreach events such as the Northern New Mexico Business Expo will promote state veterans' business development resources and include presentations by our department and  will feature traditional benefits and services outreach.   
 
Our goals are multi-faceted yet simple.  First, identify who our veteran owned businesses and service-disabled veteran owned businesses (SDVOB/VOB's) currently are and increase that number. Second, assist veterans in creating wealth. Third, help the federal government meet its own goals under Public Law 106-50, 108-183 and Presidential Executive Order 13360 by having more SDVOB's from which to choose from.  Fourth, educate corporate America to the value of VOB/SDVOB's.      
 
We will be at the Expo in October and hope to see you there.
