Thanks to Governor Richardson and the New Mexico State Legislature, New Mexico has one of the most successful film programs in the United States, rivaled only by California and New York. Our experienced crew and vendor base as well as the film-friendly attitude of New Mexico communities continue to attract major film and television productions. The development of New Mexico's film industry has been based on the promotion of our own people and our own businesses. One of the unique aspects of this industry is in it's diverse use of services and businesses, related and unrelated to film, such as restaurants, lumber yards, hotels, vehicle and equipment rental, livestock, suppliers of all sorts, clothing stores, real estate - and the list goes on and on. Our goal at Expo is to convey a more thorough understanding of the nature and operational practices of this industry and to clarify how Northern NM businesses can most efficiently and effectively interact and benefit from this business sector.
