RMMSDC was established in 1974 as a regional council of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), one of the nation's leading business membership organizations. While RMMSDC's central office is located in Denver, Colorado, our regional area includes New Mexico. For this reason, I will be in attendance at the Northern New Mexico Business Expo as I am eager to meet and dialogue with New Mexico companies and inform them about the benefits that the RMMSDC can offer. RMMSDC is one of 40 regional councils in the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC) network and has a membership comprised of nearly 300 major corporations and/or their divisions, and 1,300 MBE constituents. NMSDC provides Council members extended outreach and access to more than 3,500 corporations and more than 15,000 certified minority-owned businesses. RMMSDC works very hard for minority (Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American) suppliers and works closely with large corporate organizations to develop diversity initiatives within these large firms in setting and adhering to diversity spending objectives, encouraging or requiring first-tier suppliers to include minority businesses in their contracts, helping to form teaming arrangements, joint ventures, mentoring and providing educational opportunities for talented minority business people. I am very excited about the Expo and look forward to meeting as many small business firms as I can during this event. If you would like to know more about RMMSDC, click HERE for more information.
